Each time you hit Refresh, 98 Ticker queries eBay for the latest live prices. The cooldown is the minimum time between full refreshes — it's there to keep the app inside eBay's API usage limits, which are shared across all users. Higher tiers get shorter cooldowns so prices stay more current.

When the lowest active eBay listing for a book comes from an international seller, the displayed floor is the USD-converted price — not what a US buyer will actually pay. US–Canada tariff rates have been changing frequently, and import fees and brokerage costs can add substantially to the delivered price. 98 Ticker detects international floor listings, flags them with a tariff warning, and separately shows the lowest US-only listing as the domestic floor so you always know your real acquisition cost. Yes. Cancel anytime — your account drops to the Free tier at the end of the billing period. Your tracked books and history are preserved; books over the free limit simply pause tracking until you're back within the limit or upgrade again.

Two triggers fire alerts. The first: a real-time alert when the floor drops by your configured threshold (default 2%, minimum $5 drop) — useful for spotting softening demand. The second: a real-time alert the moment any listing appears at or below a target price you set per book — your buy signal. Each alert has a 24-hour re-arm cooldown per book, so a volatile listing won't spam your inbox. You can also enable a daily digest that rolls up all floor changes each morning. Maximum 10 alert emails per day per account. Email alerts are available on Collector, Pro, and Dealer plans.

The Portfolio Summary tab shows your full collection performance at a glance: total portfolio value, unrealized gain/loss on everything in inventory, realized gain/loss on books you've sold, top winners and losers, average days to sell, and charts comparing your value over time. You can export your full portfolio as CSV, your Watch List as CSV, or your price history as JSON — all client-side, no server involved. Available on all tiers.

Tags are colored labels you assign per book — useful for organizing by focus, condition, buying intent, or anything you need. Ten color presets, filterable in the main list. Spotlights are curator-picked groupings of notable keys (1st appearances, key variants, historic runs) maintained by the 98 Ticker team.
